Te Pae School Set to Open in Term 1 2027
Currently under construction within the new Rua Hills development is Te Pae School, Auckland’s newest full primary school (Years 1–8). The school will provide a full primary and intermediate pathway within one school community and is officially on track to open for students at the start of Term 1 in January/February 2027.
Key Features & Design
Student Capacity: The school is built to initially accommodate 250 students, with the infrastructure designed to quickly scale up to around 800–1,000 students as the surrounding community grows.
Location Context: Situated in "Raphoe", the first village within the broader Rua Hills development.
Facilities: The modern campus will include single-cell classrooms paired with dedicated breakout spaces, specialised
technology rooms, a gymnasium, a library, a main hall and playing fields.

Enrolment & School Zone
Catchment Area: The Ministry of Education has confirmed a formal enrolment zone to manage growth in the Massey-Redhills and Westgate area.
Zone Changes: Living in the Rua Hills development grants automatic eligibility. This dedicated catchment formally removes the temporary "Zone B" arrangement for the area previously absorbed by Whenuapai School.
Expressions of Interest: Local families can currently submit an Expression of Interest Form on the official Te Pae School Website to lock in updates ahead of formal enrolment openings.
